Directions
- In a frying pan, sauté the garlic and spinach until tender.
- Lightly drain artichokes and spinach in a colander, then finely chop.
- In a large bowl, combine the spinach & artichokes, green onions and cream cheese. Set aside.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.
- Refrigerate slightly if desired for easier assembly. Otherwise, create the wontons in the shape of your choice. The simplest version is to form triangles by putting in about ½ teaspoon of the mixture, then folding in half, wetting the ends with a little water so they stick together.
- Bake the wontons for about 8-12 minutes, spraying them with a little oil, until golden brown to your liking. For even cooking, turn halfway through.
- Serve with sauce of your choice and enjoy!
Notes:
*For a vegan version, use dumpling paste instead.
**Want to make a homemade sauce? Mix ½ cup mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon Cajun spices, pepper to taste and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a slightly tangy, tart sauce!
These fried artichoke wontons will be your new favourite starter, although they can also be served as a meal with a side dish! What's more, they're quite simple to make, as they're cooked in an air fryer for a healthier version.
